This session covers the practicalities of setting up and managing a syringe driver. It goes on to consider evidence-based practice concerning common medications and decision making when using syringe drivers. Suitable for adult and paediatric practitioners.

Our new series will introduce the concept of palliative care emergencies and the importance of prompt, effective responses by HCPs. We will go on to consider pathophysiology, identification and treatment of MSCC. It will also consider communication with patients, families and other professionals and supporting future care planning.
