This session covers the practicalities of setting up and managing a syringe driver. It goes on to consider evidence-based practice concerning common medications and decision making when using syringe drivers. Suitable for adult and paediatric practitioners.  

Explore the recognition and management of hypercalcaemia as a palliative care emergency. We consider causes, clinical features, investigation and treatment alongside communication with patients, families and professionals and the implications for future care planning.
