NMP update: prescribing syringe drivers in paediatric palliative care (17 Feb 2026)

This session draws on the up to date evidence base to enable attendees to refresh understanding of the indications and cautions when prescribing syringe drivers. It goes on to apply pharmacological knowledge to considerations around drug doses and combinations when prescribing syringe drivers, Attendees will also have the opportunity to improve  their knowledge of commonly prescribed medications in paediatric PEOL care. The session will also look at improving practice around managing site reactions when prescribing syringe drivers and consider specific challenges in prescribing at the end of life.
